Trying to comprehend God's unconditional love feels like trying to take in a perfect sunset. It's a moment of boundless beauty where the only thing left to say is, "This is ridiculous!"

So, we use the phrase Ridiculous Love as a compass for the way God's love and acceptance should play out in the church. We do our best to provide:

Since 1955, Eastview Christian Church has been a place of family, celebration and love

We are by no means a perfect church, but by God's grace we do our best to be a faith community where everyone feels like family.

Eastview is an independent, non-denominational church and our priorities are still the same as the people who started Eastview in the old Bloomington YMCA. We teach the Word of God, follow Jesus and share his life-changing love with the world.

Why did we choose Eastview Online? We didn't, God did. Before we stepped into Eastview for our first service, God had been preparing our family's path to ultimately join Eastview Online. Three years ago, our daughter (Sam) made the decision to attend ISU, and once she made that choice, she asked our current church youth leadership if they knew of a church she should attend by ISU, without a doubt, they said Eastview would be the best fit. Little did we know, our Youth Ministry and Eastview had built a relationship years prior and they continued to work together.

Sam started to attend Eastview right away and loved it. On our first visit to see her, we went to church with her, and I knew instantly, when we were singing Raise a Hallelujah and then heard Mike preach, that Eastview wasn't just Sam's new church home, but it would be ours too. I've had that feeling before on a mission trip, in the middle of chaos and praying for God to help our team, I had a feeling come through me that only God could provide. At that moment I didn't know what was to come next, but for us, we've now been attending Eastview for over two and a half years. When we come down to visit Sam, we stay an extra day just so we can attend church with her, but it is through the Eastview Online Ministries that God has really grabbed a hold of me. Not only does our family have a church family we can lean on in times of prayer, but God has provided me opportunities to serve and to grow in relationships with others that I would have never met before.

God has been using Eastview Online to mold and shape our family as we move into the next season of our lives. It is more than just Sunday services online for us... we've participated in Church-wide bible studies, participated in Re-Imagine, I am now serving on the Prayer team and being a Host during Sunday services, I am listening to Mike Talks daily, all these online options have not only helped me to grow but they have also supported me in becoming more obedient in God's plan for my life. Members of Eastview may never know the full impact of Eastview's obedience in God calling them to expand the Online Ministries, but I hope my story will share a small glimpse into how God is using it to reach others.
