What is a small group?

Our next Connections is Sunday, September 26th from 5-7 pm in room 133. Dinner and childcare are provided.

A place to connect and grow!

We believe that Eastview's small groups ("e groups" for short) provide the optimal environment for the life change Jesus Christ desires for every person. Our groups typically have 6-14 people who GATHER together 3-4 times per month (Hebrews 10:24-25), to GROW to be more Christ-like (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Peter 1:14-16), to GIVE of themselves in various ways (I Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 4:11-16), and to GO on to impact the world around them (Matthew 28:19). We are excited that you have chosen to "GATHER, GROW, GIVE, and GO" as you connect and contribute in a small group.

When do groups meet?

We have over 230 small groups that meet together in people’s homes every week in Bloomington / Normal and McLean County.  We have groups available every day of the week and on the weekend.  Most groups meet in the evenings but some meet during the day.

What kind of groups exist at Eastview?

Most of our groups are made up based upon one’s stage of life. Examples include: singles, engaged/young married, parents of young families, parents of grade school, parents of teens, empty nesters, men, women, etc.  We also have groups made up of mixed or various stages of life.

What about childcare?

Childcare is optional with every group.  Most often childcare is left up to each family or group to provide.  Some groups do, however, meet including their children.

How do I get connected to a small group?

We offer small group parties (called “Connections”) several times a year where people can start a new group with other people they feel comfortable with.  We also invite existing small groups to participate at “Connections” so you one can choose an existing group to get connected in as another possible option.
